Since Nikon came home with us this boy has been obsessed with birds. He is very birdy and has a great nose! He is a larger running dog in the pheasant field but has no problem ranging closer when we're in the grouse woods or asked to work closer. He is a sweet boy who also has a great off switch which makes him a wonderful family dog as well. He is happy to snuggle up on the couch with you or go out in the field and work.

Nikon has seen several types of wild birds ranging in pheasants, quail, grouse, woodcock, duck and geese. He will also track and retrieve fur for us as well. Overall he is a very driven dog in the field with a sweet temperment and his biddability speaks for itself. His bird finding instinct came all natural to him as did his retrieving ability. He does honor on point as well and loves the water!

Nikon is health tested OFA hip/elbows are good/normal, OFA eyes, cardio and thyroid clear, DNA clear for VWD, HUU, DM and CD. Nikon is now neutered & retired from breeding.
